"Is this the best cafe in the world? Best cake, great host, and roaring fires - just the tonic after being blasted by horizontal rain, sleet, hail and snow for 4 and half hours" David B, Glossop.

"What a lovely warm welcome awaited us, such wonderful and friendly hospitality as well as rather tasty cakes....can't wait to visit again." Sharon & Stefan, Liverpool.

"What a delight it was to be met with a hot drink, some delicious welsh cake, a log fire, a loo and an exceptionally friendly local gentleman. Even our dog was welcomed and spoilt with his hospitality! Highly recommended stop off on your way up and down the mountain." F, Plymouth.

"Stefan's tea house was an unexpected treat on the trek down from Snowdon, and was just what we needed. We were welcomed despite being dripping wet and were seated immediately in front of a roaring fire to dry out and warm up. Probably the best pot of tea I have ever tasted with some amazing Bara Brith thrown in. Stefan is the perfect host and made us feel incredibly welcome and at home in his beautiful home and tea rooms. Cant wait to visit again." Tracy, London.

"After a cold day's walking, this place was just what I needed. A roaring fire, some bara brith, and the best hot chocolate in the world! The owner Steffan grew up in the same Welsh village as my mother and gave me a local newspaper to take back to her, so she could practice her Welsh! Great guy, amazing café. I make a point of stopping in here on the way down whenever I've been up Snowdon - I highly recommend that you do the same (it's open every day of the year)." Gareth, Manchester.

"We ventured up to Steffan's fantastic coffee/tea house on the main path to the summit of Mount Snowdon and was immediately met with open arms and a very kind and open heart. Pen Ceunant house is the ultimate in hospitality, friendliness and imagination. The house takes you back in time with a family atmosphere it feels warm and inviting. The hot chocolate is to die for, it will not only melt your heart but warm your sense of humanity, and may I say the fruit cake is also yummy and first class. Fires where roaring in every room "WOW". We will definitely be back. Thank you Steffan for a brilliant wonderful and incredibly fantastic visit, you made our holiday and instilled the meaning of pleasure in human kind." Della & Adrian, Lytham St Annes.

"This is a great little cafe with a wonderful atmosphere and stopping here made the trek up Snowdon on a cold day in March worthwhile. We were met at the door by the owner, Steffan, who immediately seated my mum by the lush fire so she could warm her hands. Another customer was enjoying a footbath, all part of the service! The coffee was excellent as was the Bara Brith and the hospitality couldn't be any better. I can't wait to bring the rest of my family back. Thank you Steffan :-)" Heidi, Warwickshire.

"Arrived in Llanberis via Snowdon, having started off at Nant Gwynant to reach the summit of Snowdon via the Watkin path. We had no idea how we were going to get back but Steffan appeared and arranged for a taxi to take me and my son back to the starting point and made us very welcome. As we were having hot chocolate, I noted a poster above the fireplace with the word "he careth for you" and in this case its true!" Martfr, Nantwich.

"Fab coffee and Welsh whisky after a traipse up and down Snowdon...and the best bit was the dog was more welcome than us, in our eyes a compliment of the highest order! We'll be back. :)" Trychick, Guernsey.

"According to the owner Steffan, we were tourists not walkers. He was quite right, we'd simply arranged to meet there and were going somewhere far less steep afterwards. Warm fire, good tea and cake and the owner is a one man entertainment show with a dry sense of humour. I took the brunt of his well aimed gentle humour. Interesting building with some great art work within it. Perfectly located for upwards or downwards trip with lovely views. Charming host. We'll definitely be back..maybe even as walkers !!" Peter B. Manchester.
