|Penceunant - The Cook Book
Rather famously, we don't serve meals at the café! Our usual fare is Bara Brith, Welsh Cakes and Toasted Tea Cakes all washed down with your favourite hot or cold beverage. But that didn't stop us bringing together some of our favourite recipes in this compact little cook book which we hope you'll enjoy.
It may be small but it's crammed with deliciously, easy to make recipes, evoking the flavours of Snowdonia. These are recipes we grew up with, and love to make when we finally bring down the shutters at night.

All the basics are there - delicious Welsh Cakes, and a more traditional take on Bara Brith (you could create a recipe book of Bara Brith recipes alone! Now, there's an idea.) Plus old favourites such as Welsh Rarebit, Lob Scouse and Bread and Butter Pudding. Look out also for tasty recipes which make the most of local ingredients - Welsh Lamb, Welsh Black Beef and Menai Mussels.
